How to Host a House Concert

    Seat reservation cards

    [North Carolina host Curtis Johnson has a great idea for your next concert!]

     

    As people arrive for the house concert, I give them each a "seat reservation card."  They can write their name on the card and place it on any open seat.  This allows them to mingle with other guests and the artist without losing their seat.  

     

     The card thanks them for their donation, provides the artist’s website, and gives them information on upcoming shows.  These cards have been a big hit at my shows so far.

     

    If it’s helpful to see, here’s the text I include on the seat reservation card:

     

    THANK YOU FOR YOUR DONATION

     

    Songs From The Wood

    House Concerts

    and

    Powder Horn Mountain

    present

     

    Buddy Mondlock

     

    And on the other side:
