How to Host a House Concert

    Adding BreakfastAndSong to the mini concert menu!!

    Maybe, right now, you’re having the same first impression I had. 

     

    “A breakfast mini concert?  Well, duh, that’s brilliant!  What a great way to kick off a weekend.  And what a great way for work-at-home types and retirees and college students who rise before noon to do something really special on a weekday morning.  Man, why didn’t we think of this sooner?”

     

    So who did think this up?  Well, who knows.  But we first heard about the idea from one of our alert CIYH hosts up in Michigan (thanks, Craig!) who pointed us in the direction of Jay & Renee who run a cool concert series in Detroit called Music in the Burbs.  Their artist had a weekend afternoon plane to catch, so they held the concert in the morning, complete with breakfast for artist and guests.  Kudos, guys.

     

    So, BreakfastAndSong….this calls for a little celebration, some cream cheese and raspberry preserves for my bagel, and a re-write of this blog’s first post DinnerAndSong is growing limbs. 

     

    Make room for breakfast!
